there’s a feelin’ that creeps up inside me
whenever this beat echos through my brain.
each percussion, wobblin’ from ear to ear,
births this feelin’ — sometimes good,
sometimes bad — i cannot fathom. (did i
have too much to drink?) this constant and
unexplainable reasoning behind why i care,
or how i let myself care to begin with,
untangles itself into the deepest corners of
my mind. the surge of meaningless logic,
accompanied by synthy bars and reverbed
kick snares, is overbearing. it hurts, weighing
heavy on my glass heart. but i refuse to turn
the song off — proceeding to head-bob,
foot-tap, lip-sink with every line that passes
by. i’m in love with the melody. i need it
(and i like to believe it needs me too.)
love, daze
Pretty swell opener for Washed Out in Ybor tonight. Wish I had business cards to hand out; something like this would do well in Tallahassee. I need to expand.
Airbird - Goodnight
agreed. i was also at sunday night’s show in ybor and these two dudes were a great opener for washed out. they created some energy in that tiny little venue. AND i was very impressed with how the sound was created — the guitar and shit. idk. the last song was the best, but i can’t find it anywhere so far. i remember the 80s vibes and the vocals it had mixed into it. fun time, glad i went, amazing performance by washed out, HIGHly enjoyed myself, hopping to hear moar from airbird.
